Wood

Wood is the oldest material used for the production of windows and doors. The most natural and the most stylish. Woodwork impresses not only with its elegance and class, but also durability and resistance to weather conditions. We buy wood only from proven suppliers with relevant certificates, including FSC certificate.

Currently, wooden windows and doors are made of laminated wood, so-called dressings. It is made of several layers arranged in such a way as to withstand mutual stresses resulting from the intake and release of moisture from the environment. Due to which windows and doors remain stable and do not buckle. In addition, wood gluing increases plasticity, strength, durability, fire resistance and thermal insulation of woodwork.

THE MOST POPULAR TYPES OF WOOD FOR CARPENTRY

For the production of windows, pine, meranti, oak and spruce are most often used. There are more and more questions about sapele and accoya.

PINE

It is the most popular kind for the production of woodwork. Pine is a durable wood, resistant to moisture. It has good sound and thermal insulation properties. An attractive price is its additional advantage.

MERANTI

A popular exotic wood from Indonesia and Malaysia. This species is charactericed by high durability and resistance to weather conditions. It is resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage. It has good gluing properties, which is important during production. Provides good sound and heat insulation.

SPRUCE

Spruce windows are mainly dedicated to export (Germany, Austria). Spruce has average strength properties. Inadequately treated it can be attacked by fungi and pests. It is cleavable and difficult to process. However, it has a beautiful, highly valued texture.

LARCH

Of the coniferous species, the best wood for carpentry. It is characterised by excellent moisture resistance - under its influence it hardly deforms and is not subject to biological corrosion (pests, fungus). It is durable, flexible and not shrinking. Even unpainted, it remains resistant to external factors for a long time.

WOOD STAIN COLOURS

Wood stain colours emphasize wood structure prettily. Before you go for an azure colour, it is always good to pop in and check the sampler of wood stain colours in our office. We have a great variety of natural timber colours to choose from.

Glass

VSG GLASS

VSG is an abbreviation for laminated safety glass. VSG GLASS consists of two or more panes of glass, between which several layers of PVB foil are placed. The foil is highly tear resistant, one layer has a nominal thickness of 0.38 mm.

Properties of PVB foil:

increases the level of anti-bulglary of glass packages (P2, P4),
protects against injury in case of mechanical damage to the glass (pieces of glass remain on the foil),
improves the sound insulation parameters of the window,
decorative (foil may be matt).

ESG GLASS

Tempered glass is a glass that has undergone a special thermal treatment (heating and cooling). Thanks to this process its strength is much higher than in the case of ordinary float glass.

Both transparent and coloured tinted and ornamental glass can be toughened.

Visually, tempered glass is no different from non-tempered glass. That is why the symbol "ESG", "Safety Glass", "Tempered Glass" etc. is usually placed on tempered glass.

The ESG glass acts as a safety glass. At the moment of mechanical damage, it breaks down into many small pieces with blunt edges, thus preventing serious injury.
